Official 2011 School Policy

* In order to be eligible for studies at NYCGS,
prospect students will need to first apply
for and then also be granted admission.

* All lessons are paid in advance through online
reservation purchase at www.nycguitarstudio.com

No cash or checks accepted as lesson payment

* Two ( 2 ) cancellations can be made during each study
period setup (package) If more student loses the lessons.

* Cancelations must be made by 2 pm the day before
your lesson, or you will be charged for that lesson.

* Your advance lesson payment will be used to pay the
teacher in the event of late cancellation or no-show.

* No refunds offered on pre-purchased lessons or packages.
A trial lesson will help determine setup and commitment.

* Packages must be used within 3 months from purchase date.

* Please schedule your next lesson with your teacher after
each lesson or within 48 hours from the lesson. Please
note that lessons will not be rescheduled automatically.

* Lessons can not be extended for late arrivals.

* Study packages does not include phone or e-mail support.
If in need of this, you may consider scheduling an extra lesson.

* Rarely due to unforseen circumstances, your teacher
may be late or absent and will need to reschedule.

* Proper conduct and respect for the learning process,
and all involved parties is to be observed at all times.

* The teacher have the right to end instruction if
he/she decides that a student is unfit to continue.

* NYCGS is not liable for study related accident, injury,
loss, theft or damage and can not be responsible for
instruments or personal belongings left in the studio facility.

* NYCGS has the right to change policies, fees
or waivers with a proper thirty ( 30 ) day notice.

Please note that eventhough
it is fraudelent to infringe on a registered business
activity. Parts of the structure of the text and of
the program outline and content posted on this site
are frequently more or less copied by others both
in the New York City, Tri-State and neighboring
areas and elsewhere offering music instruction.

Although charging a similar price and advertising a
seemingly similar programmatic content, very few
of these do have comparable credentials, experience
or level of educator and /or musician expertise
( unfortunately and fraudelently so, very common
is for those " posing as established professional
educators and / or musicians "
- to achieve an
attractive surface through either bending the facts,
using something that sound credible, i.e. an academic
degree from a reputed College or University - although
this may not be a Music (or even liberal arts) Degree.

Therefore, the prospective student is strongly adviced
to carefully monitor the facility, the teacher at hand
and his / her activity. And to seek the advice of
someone truly knowledgeable, before choosing a
private music teacher, educational studio or school.

The less experienced, novice or aspiring
teacher colleaugue is in organizing his or her
educator profile and facility, strongly adviced
to take into account the level of proficience
and reputation withinthe music community
as a whole, locally and Internationally.
