The INSTRUCTION at NYCGS is all 1 on 1 CUSTOMIZED according to each unique situation and the specific needs,
desires and requests of each individual student. Rather than any one, single method, a composit of various schools, methods
and sources are used. Including those suggested by the student him/herself (while preserving the teacher student relationship)
Involvement range from learning songs in a casual manner to professional career advice, consultant or mentor relationship.

" DURATION, SETUP, FRAMEWORK and LESSON FORMAT - How long is each session" ?
A SINGLE SESSION is AN HOUR ( firm ) While often, with children 30-45 min. appears to be
a reasonable timeframe for a lesson. NYCGS is currently not offering shorter lessons than the hour.
A DOUBLE SESSION is simply a longer session ( than a single ) that lasts 2 HOURS ( firm ) and is ideal
or suitable for
intermediate to advanced students in need of more playing and / or composing together with
the teacher during sessions. A double session also makes sense for those who travel far or are for other
reasons
unable to keep a regular commute routine. The Double Lesson reduces the hourly rate to $45.
Progressive discounts Weekly, bi-weekly or REGULAR students ( in a cycle or not ) gets a DISCOUNT DEAL.
Meaning by deciding upon getting either 3, 10 or more lessons, and then paying for it in advance, this commitment then
renders them a substantial discount. A mutually beneficial investement in the planned instruction. The discounts, bulk or
package deals vary some, all depending on.
So unless
familiar with the studio, it's best to decide on this after 1-2 lessons
when the
objectives and means to meet them are more realized. Typically a 3 lesson discount deal is available. Common
is also a 10 LESSON PACK that gives a substantial discount. A "session pack" is a double or triple lesson deal designed
for intermediate to advanced students interested in or in need of a player-workshop type of arranged situation and setup.
All packages are to be used up within three months from the date of purchase. If not, the remaining lessons will be forfeit.
